I guess that the best action plan to develop the Missing Basics is to be opened to the new situations that life regularly presents to you and keep in mind the importance of these skills because, just by being aware, one already develops them more efficiently. The point is to use this in your favor in an everyday basis.
I really like your point of being open minded to any situation to improve the missing basics, but I really think that the question was, which are three skills you want to improve and their due dates.
ReplyDeleteAlthough this, I think you have a good point. Since we were little we were taught to be open minded into any situation, but I think that being open minded most of the times can really be a problem, to be willing to accept what everybody says can really deal in a problem on what you really think is true. I really believe that being open minded is a really good way for improving skill, but I would keep in mind having some basic beliefs and your one statements to be able to judge and decide that what you hear and want to learn is correct.
Yes, i totally agree. One should be open minded to search for answers from within, and not just accept those things that people want to make you believe in. about the thee skills i want to improve, they would be: communicate, ask good questions and visualize. I can not think about any DUE DATE because i will improve them for ever...
ReplyDeleteI am also confused about the intention of setting a due date. Developing these skills is a life-long project; it is not an assignment to be accomplished overnight. Compared to your reaction to the Missing Basics, the action plan you set is a little over-simplified. Though being open-minded is a universal solution to enhance social competence, it is far from enough to fully master the abilities long missed by engineers. As I mentioned at the other comment, we need to administer self-reflection and critical thinking while we are open-minded to be aware those skills, since learning how to manipulate the “Missing basics” is in fact our ultimate goal.
ReplyDeleteI was confused too about setting due dates no one in the world has mastered any skills as we do not know the limit of any kind of skill. It is an endless process
ReplyDeleteI like the fact that you are open to all the skills that will come in your path. I like this approach alot and I might try this too.Being open minded is what has made this world such a beautiful place to live in.
